Tripura CPM approaches Chief Secretary seeking security

Agartala, Oct 2 (UNI) The opposition CPI-M reached out to Chief Secretary of the state urging him to direct the DGP to arrange a vehicular escort to it’s party secretary and State Secretariat members.
In a letter to the Chief Secretary, party secretary Jitendra Choudhury asked to take cognizance of the complaints lodged in different police stations on attacks of CPI-M party offices and media houses.
The letter stated that at least 39 of their offices including a district office and four Sub-Divisional offices were forcefully kept close by terror and added, “We had humble submission before you to take measures for the sake of sustenance of democratic practice in the state and protect the lives and livelihood of the opposition leaders, cadres and sympathizers.”
