Agartala, Aug 3 (UNI) West Tripura District Magistrate & Collector Dr Sandeep Mahatme N directed former health minister and ruling BJP MLA Sudip Roybarman a quarantine memo soon after he distributed fruits among the inmates lodged at Sahid Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel Covid Care Centre (CCC) yesterday triggering serious reactions across the state.
Mahatme in the order asked Roybarman to go for mandatory institutional quarantine for seven days at RSTI meant for VIP persons from today followed by seven days home quarantine as per the notification of Union Health Ministry issued on July 4 last.
The MLA has been charged for unauthorized entry into the CCC violating the Covid safety guidelines.
