BJP MP alleges protocol breach on visit of Amit Shah to Odisha

BJP MP alleges protocol breach on visit of Amit Shah to Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Aug 8 (UNI) BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi has taken strong exception to what she said was a protocol breach during the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Odisha.
In a letter to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the BJP MP who is also the party's national spokesperson drew the attention of the former on the inappropriate reception of Shah at the Biju Patnaik International Airport.
She said a huge number of people had gathered at the airport to welcome the Union Home
Minister and expressed their gratitude towards Shah.
But it was surprising that the state government behaved in such a callous manner that neither minister of state (home) Tusharkanti Behera nor the Police Director of General or the Home Secretary was present at the airport to welcome the Union Home Minister.
She said “this kind of behaviour reflects the culture of an institution “
“ I hope and expect that appropriate instructions will be issued by your good offices so that such actions are not repeated in future”the BJP MP said in her letter to the Chief Minister.
Shah reached Bhubaneswar late Sunday night on a special flight on a two day Odisha.
