Nagaland village headmen body appeal for peace

Kohima, Jul 17 (UNI) The Nagaland Goan Burha Federation (NGBF) has appealed to the Centre and Naga Political Groups to “avoid all sorts of confrontation that lead to bloodshed.”
According to a press release issued by NGBF President Shalem Konyak, General Secretary Shikuto Zalipu and Media Secretary Akhu Naga said the Naga people were expecting the early solution to the Naga political problem, but the current COVID-19 pandemic has brought every activity to a standstill. NGBF has, however, asserted that the resumption of talks has “triggered us to believe once again the sincerity and commitment of negotiations parties.”
