Shillong, Oct 16 (UNI) With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a constituent of the National People’s Party (NPP)-led ruling Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) regularly raking up issues related to alleged corruption in the government, Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong on Friday asked the party to pull out of the coalition if they "are not comfortable" being with it.
"My only concern is that if they (BJP) are not comfortable since they are also part of the government, they are free to leave. If you are not comfortable, you are free to leave the MDA government. That is the easiest way out," Tynsong said.
"Don’t criticize and at the same time work with the MDA. What is happening now is that the BJP is 'criticizing its partner despite being a partner; in the MDA," he said.
