Meghalaya Congress holds protest against conduct of exams amid COVID-19

Shillong, Aug 28 (UNI) Meghalaya's opposition Congress on Friday staged a protest here at its State's party headquarters against conducting Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Exams which are scheduled to be held in September amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"The Congress party has staged a protest to put forth the demand of postponing JEE and NEET exams. The government must not risk the lives and health of the students. We demand that these exams should be postponed in the interest of the every Indian citizens," Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) working president James S Lyngdoh said.
The senior Congress leader also expressed regret that the Modi Government was trying to bulldoze their plan of holding JEE-NEET against the interest of the students, who have prepared for the exam for the last two years.
