Will not allow loot in Jharkhand: Raghubar

Ranchi, Oct 1 (UNI) Newly appointed BJP national vice-president and former Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday said that people of Jharkhand are feeling cheated by the present state government.
Speaking at a felicitation ceremony organised at the state BJP headquarters after being appointed the national vice-president he said the state government came into power by making hoax promises and was now working with vendetta attitude due to which schemes of the previous government are being stopped.
He said that in just 9 months of the new government, rising incidents of dowry killings, witchcraft, rape, Maoist-related violence, corruption. The declining law and order has created worries among the people.

Shillong, April 15 (UNI) Vigilance by the police and paramilitary forces has been mounted along the Meghalaya-Assam inter-state boundary and the international border that the state shares with neighbouring Bangladesh in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, scheduled for April 19.
Meanwhile, in a significant joint operation conducted on Monday, the troops of BSF Meghalaya Frontier and Meghalaya Police seized a huge quantity of dry betel nuts from the bordering area of the South Garo Hills district of the state.
