BJP calls Ranchi dist "a puppet" of state govt for not quarantining Congress leader

Ranchi, Aug 6 (UNI) State general secretary of BJP and Rajya Sabha MP Sameer Oraon today accused the district administration of being a puppet in the hands of the state government for not sending co-incharge for Congress party Affairs in Jharkhand Umang Singhar to 14 days quarantine after returning from Delhi.
Oraon said that on one hand leader of legislature wing of BJP Babulal Marandi and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash were stamped 14 days home quarantine at the airport after returning from Delhi, while the Congress leader was participating in party programmes though he, too, returned from the national capital.
He said that the Chief Secretary had issued clearly stated in an order that people arriving from other state will have to be in home quarantine, but the district administration decided not to honour what the Chief Secretary had said.
