Both Nitish and BJP befooling people on caste census: Tejaswi

Both Nitish and BJP befooling people on caste census: Tejaswi

Patna, Jan 09 (UNI) Leader of the opposition Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on Sunday accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP leaders of befooling people on the issue of caste census in Bihar.
Yadav told media here that Kumar had no interest in caste census in Bihar. A resolution for caste census was passed twice in Bihar assembly, so there was no need for calling all-party meetings to discuss the issue, he added.
The leader of the opposition said that an all-party delegation led by Kumar had called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 23 last year to request him for reconsideration of a decision of the Centre not to conduct caste census. Despite the request made by the all-party delegation, the Centre's stand on the issue did not change, he added.
