Bihar govt. failed to discharge its responsibilities: Sushil

Patna, Nov 27 (UNI) BJP Rajyasabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi said on Sunday that the central government was executing projects worth rupees lakhs of crores for infrastructural development in Bihar without any discrimination but the state government has failed to discharge its responsibilities.
Modi said here that the state government had demanded a package of Rs 20000 crore but Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced financial assistance in form of a special package of Rs 1.5 Lakh crore for infrastructure development in the state. Of the package, Rs 55000 crore was only for road projects but the state government failed to provide land for the majority of the projects, he quipped.
The BJP MP said that the Nitish government also failed to provide land for establishing AIIMS in Darbhanga and a Central University in Vikramshila. The expansion of Bihta, Darbhanga and Purnea airports was also hanging in balance only because the state government has not provided land to the centre.
