RJD takes out Cycle March to protest hike in prices of Petrol and Diesel

Patna, Jun 25 (UNI) RJD today took out a cycle rally to protest the hike in prices of petrol and diesel across the country and demanded from the government for immediate roll back.
Leader of the opposition Tejaswi Prasad Yadav and his elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav led the cycle march which started from 10 circular road, the official residence of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and culminated at Dakbungalow crossing in Patna.
Protest march passed through main thorough fares of the state capital before culminating at Dakbungalow crossing.
Leader of the opposition Mr Yadav told media persons on the occasion that it was for the first time in history that price of diesel had surpassed the price of petrol in the country.
Steep hike in petrol and diesel would have devastating effect on toiling masses of the country, he added.
Mr Yadav said that price of crude oil in international market was decreasing but Narendra Modi government continued to increase the price of petrol and diesel for 19th consecutive day which left business community and others high and dry.
What was the purpose of government in increasing the petrol prices when people had already suffered due to Corona pandemic, he questioned.
Leader of the opposition warned that his party would continue to protest the hike in petrol and diesel unless government rolled it back.
