Pàtna, Sep 12 (UNI) BJP president J P Nadda today called on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for crucial talks with him, apparently regarding seat sharing among constituents of NDA and other issues to fine tune strategy for upcoming state Assembly Elections in Bihar.
Mr Nadda called on Chief Minister Mr Kumar at his official residence along with Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, state BJP president Dr Sanjay Jaiswal and in-charge of party affairs of BJP Bhupendra Yadav. JD(U) MP Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh was also present in the meeting which lasted for about 45 minutes.
Mr Nadda did not respond to queries of media persons after emerging from the meeting. Later, addressing a party function organised at state headquarters of the BJP, he said that NDA would register impressive victory under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr Kumar in Bihar Assembly Elections.
State spokesman of BJP Prem Ranjan Patel told media persons that there were no differences among constituents of NDA on seat sharing. The issue had been sorted out in a meeting of top BJP leaders with Chief Minister Mr Kumar at his official residence, he said but refused to divulge the details of seat sharing.
Meanwhile, LJP president Chirag Paswan said he had never created troubles nor ever had been his intention to do so for Chief Minister Mr Kumar. As public representative, he had the responsibility to raise the issues relating to problems being faced by people and it was also essential for him to bring to notice of Chief Minister Mr Kumar for its redressal, he said adding that such action of him was misinterpreted as his attempt to create troubles for Mr Kumar.
Mr Paswan said he had no talks on seat sharing with any leader of BJP or JD(U). BJP had already announced that NDA would contest Bihar Assembly Elections under the leadership of of Chief Minister Mr Kumar and LJP had gladly accepted it, he further said adding that his party would accept any decision of BJP and there should not be confusion over it.
