Sushil Modi extends thanks to Nitish Kumar for increasing JP pension amount

Patna, Oct 12 ( UNI) BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi on Tuesday thanked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for increasing the JP pension amount.
On his Twitter account Mr Modi said that now those who were getting Rs 5000 as pension will get Rs 7.5 thousand, whereas those who were getting Rs 10,000 would get Rs 15,000 monthly.
The BJP MP said that Bihar is the first state which initiated pension for JP movement fighters in 2009-10. He said that Bihar was the epicenter of the the movement launched by JP in 1974 . He said that the NDA government launching the pension scheme spent Rs 1.31 crore during the first year of the scheme and in 2020-21 Rs 23.90 crore as pension.
