KCR & Nitish call upon for opposition unity to oust Narendra Modi government

KCR & Nitish call upon for opposition unity to oust Narendra Modi government

Patna, Aug 31 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday called upon for opposition unity at national level to oust Narendra Modi government in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Rao met Kumar at CM secretariat on his arrival here from Hyderabad and held discussion with him on latest political situation in the country. It was first meeting of Kumar with any top opposition leader after he walked away from NDA on August 9 and joined hands with RJD to form Grand Alliance government in Bihar, giving a boost to opposition parties to take on Narendra Modi government in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Rao after a meeting with Kumar, told media persons that a consensus had had been reached to make strategies for ousting Narendra Modi government.
All attempts would be made for opposition unity to get rid of Narendra Modi government, in larger interest of the country, he added.
Telangana Chief Minister and leader of TRS said that Chief Minister Kumar had given a call for
" BJP mukta Bharat"(India free from BJP) and all attempts would be made for the purpose.
Deterioration and chaos were visible in all sectors across the country in last eight years since Narendra Modi government was voted to power, he noted.
Rao while responding to a query about possibility of Kumar being projected as PM candidate of opposition, said he was not in a position to make any comment on the issue.
The issue of PM candidate would be decided after consultation among all opposition parties, he stressed.
