Congress leaders eye on cabinet berths if Nitish forms new govt

Patna, Aug 8 (UNI) Enthused with the changed political scenario with speculations of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar possibly forming an alternative government by severing his ties with BJP, the Congress party was hopeful of getting a cabinet berth in the next government.
Sources close to the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee ( BPCC) said that eyeing the cabinet berth names of several leaders of the party were doing rounds in the political corners. The sources said that some of the senior leaders of the party were also trying their best to get included in the list of possible ministers.
According to the Congress insider, the name of Congress legislature party leader in Bihar assembly Ajith Sharma and Congress legislature party leader in Bihar Legislative Council Madan Mohan Jha who is also president of the BPCC was widely being discussed.
The sources said that the final decision would however be taken by the central leadership.
Some of the senior leaders of the party however maintained that based on the "one man one post"
ideology, other members of the house should also get opportunities instead of those already having the posts of CLP leaders.
The sources admitted that if this ideology was set aside, it may lead to resentment among the genuine contenders whom the party should not ignore while taking a final decision on the issue.
