Munger, Nov 07(UNI) Congress MLC and senior leader Dr. Sameer Kumar Singh today said after coming to power in Bihar his government would form a high level committee to probe the Munger police firing and lathi-charge during the immersion of the idols of the Goddess Durga, in which one person was killed and seven others were injured.
After visiting the bereaved family, Dr Singh, who is the working president of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee demanded an ex gratia of Rs 15 lakh and a government job to one of the eligible family members of Anurag Poddar killed in the police firing.
If the senior police officials are found guilty in the probe, his government would initiate stern action against them for the uncalled for firing and lathi-charge.
