111 nominations filed for first phase of Bihar Assembly elections

Patna, Oct 6 (UNI) Altogether 111 candidates including Bihar education minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma and former assembly speaker Uday Narayan Choudhary filed there nomination papers the first phase of the three phased Bihar assembly election here on Tuesday.
Sources at the Chief Electoral officer said here today that the nominations were made for 49 seats out of 71 slated for poll in the first phase. Promknent among those who filed their papers include Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma of Janata Dal (U) filed his nomination from Jehanabad , Manorma Devi of JD U from Atari , Uday Narayan Chaudhary of Rashtriya Janata Dal from Imamganj , Anil Kumar of Hindustani Awam Morcha from Tekari and Sandeep Saurabh of Communist Party of India from Paliganj assembly constituency.
The nomination papers can be filled till October 8 and the scrutiny of the would be done the next day on October 9 for 71 assembly constituencies slated for polling on October 28 .
