Mamata rejigs party to boost election prospect; WBTMYC announces constitution of new TMYC State Committee

Kolkata, Jul 23 (UNI) Ahead of 2021 crucial Assembly poll, West Bengal ruling Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Thursday effected a major reshuffle in party's hierarchy, declaring a 21-member coordination committee and 7-member steering committee to boost the election prospects, while the All India Trinamool Youth Congress (TMYC) announced the appointment of new West Bengal TMYC State Committee and Trinamool district youth presidents across the state.
In the coordination committee, headed by Convenor Subrata Bakshi, who is party general secretary, most of the senior ministers and party MPs and MLAs found place.
" The state coordination committee shall be the nodal authority for organisational and party affairs, and will be responsible for the overall supervision, guidance, management, and coordination with all the districts units. The select members of the committee will form a seven (7) member steering committee that will manage the day today affairs of the party across the state", a TMC statement said.
