BJP's internal reshuffle makes Mukul happy but Rahul unhappy

BJP's internal reshuffle makes Mukul happy but Rahul unhappy

Kolkata, Sep 27 (UNI) Ahead of the upcoming municipal polls and the crucial 2021 Assembly elections in West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Part (BJP) has elevated Mukul Roy, once closest confidant, troubleshooter and man Friday of Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee, to the post of national vice president, while former TMC MP from Bolpur Anupam Hazra was catapulted to the post of national secretary replacing one of the longest serving leaders Rahul Sinha.
Taking strong exception to his replacement, Sinha made no bones about his resentment, saying, “Served @BJP4India for 40 Years as the Warrior and today just to include @AITCofficial Leaders, I have been asked to Left the Post of the Party.”
"I will not say anything more on this. I don't want say a thing in favour or against the reward that I have received from the party. Whatever I have to say, I will say in 10 to 12 days and decide my future course of action," Sinha added.
BJP president JP Nadda on Saturday announced the new team of the party’s national office-bearers.
While senior leader Mukul Roy was appointed as the national vice-president, Anupam Hazra, who was expelled from the ruling party in the state and unsuccessfully contested from Jadavpur Lok Sabha constituency in 2019 against TMC’s Mimi Chakraborty, was inducted as one of the national secretaries. Hazra replaced Rahul Sinha,
On the other hand, senior leader and Darjeeling MP Raju Bista was appointed as the national spokesperson
After the new office bearers was announced, Roy said, "I have just got to know that I am part of the BJP’s central team and have been appointed as the national vice president.”
Taking to his tweeter handle, he said, “I express my sincere gratitude to Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodiJi, Hon'ble HM Shri @AmitShahJi, @BJP4India's President Shri @JPNaddaJi, and National GS (Org.) Shri @blsanthosh Ji for reposing faith on me for the responsibility of party's Vice- President.”

“Let's leave no stone unturned to inculcate the ideology and vision of @BJP4Indiaamong the people of India. I will march ahead to fulfill this aim as Vice President. I am thankful to all for the wishes. I express my sincere gratitude to everyone for the overwhelming support,” Roy added.
He said in the upcoming assembly elections next year, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh and I will try our best and win elections in the state and form government here."
Roy who joined the party in 2017, served as the convenor of the Bengal unit of the BJP’s election management committee for the 2018 panchayat polls and the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
He was the party’s national executive before being appointed as the vice president.
BJP leader and Netaji's nephew Chandra Kumar Bose said, " Congratulations!
@BJP4Bengal
would succeed if it practises the inclusive ideology of both #SwamiVivekananda & #Netaji embracing the whole of society! I hope under your leadership we would see a change in strategy geared toward the history, heritage & culture of Bengal. Jai Hind. "
Roy’s appointment as the national vice president is said to be a move aiming at next year’s election.
Before joining the BJP, Roy, who was the second-in-command in Trinamool Congress, was summoned by the CBI in connection with the Narada sting operation case in which a number of senior TMC leaders were seen accepting the bribe from the representatives of a fictitious company and the probe into the case is still on.
Roy, however, had said he was not seen in the footage taking money from anyone.
