Trinamool Congress takes driver seat immediately after ECI announces by-poll to Bhawanipur assembly seat

Kolkata, Sep 7 (UNI) West Bengal ruling Trinamool Congress has already taken the driving seat immediately after the ECI announced by-poll to the Bhawanipur assembly seat on September 30 as the party not only named its chairperson and chief minister Mamata Banerjee as the candidate but also began wall writings and declared "Khela Hobe" keeping the opposition parties, including BJP, to guess their possible candidate.
Mamata Banerjee, who is seeking reelection after being defeated by BJP's Suvendu Adhikari in Nandigram in March-April election, is expected to hit the campaign trail on Thursday from her home constituency.
Sixty-six-year-old Banerjee, who founded the TMC on January 1, 1998 and unseated the cadre based CPI(M) led Left Front in 2011, had been the winner from Bhawanipur in 2011 and 2016 by huge margin.
