As NHIDCL fails to keep NH4 motorable, Andaman MP demands ferry for North and Middle Andaman

Port Blair, Sept 14 (UNI) The lone MP of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Kuldeep Rai Sharma has demanded to operate ferry or ship twice a week for Rangat, Mayabunder and Diglipur region of North and Middle Andaman from Port Blair via sea route, considering the pathetic condition of Andaman Trunk Road.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma mentioned that in many stretches of North and Middle Andaman’s the condition of Andaman Trunk Road (NH4) viz Kadamtala and Mayabunder regions are unbelievably bad.
The Member of Parliament added that due to heavy rainfall the Andaman Trunk Road is full of mud and ATR passengers, especially the ladies, old age people, children and patients are suffering heavily.
