Two Omicron cases detected in Port Blair

Port Blair, Dec 31 (UNI) Two cases of Omicron have been detected in Port Blair, the capital city of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, sources confirmed on Friday.
“Two cases have been detected but there is nothing to worry about. Only thing is that we have to take more precautions,” said a senior officer of the A&N administration, who did not want to be named.
Sources in Andaman’s Health Services told UNI that the confirmation came from a Pune-based lab, where samples had been sent from here. “While one of the patients is an NRI, the other works in the USA. Both have been quarantined,” the sources added.
