Assam Assembly Speaker visits Arunachal House to get first-hand info about e-Vidhan project

Itanagar, Sep 27 (UNI) Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary today paid a visit to Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly to get first-hand information about the e-Vidhan project already implemented in the Arunachal Assembly.
Arunachal Assembly is the first legislative body in the Northeast and third in the country to have successfully implemented the ambitious National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project. A mission mode project, NeVA, a part of Digital India is a scheme to digitize and make the functioning of State Legislatures paperless in line with the Govt of India’s “Go Green” initiative.
“Both the Speakers of Assam and Arunachal discussed at length about the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) project and other issues pertaining to regional cooperation and CPA (Commonwealth Parliamentary Association) India Region Zone III,” an official source said.
