Meghalaya CM assess flood situation in Garo Hills region

Tura (Meghalaya), June 10 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Friday held a review meeting to assess the flood situation in Garo Hills region.
The meeting held at Tura was attended by the Deputy Commissioners, Superintendent of Police and district officials of the flood-hire areas of West Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills and South Garo Hills District.
During the meeting offcials apprised the Chief Minister on the different relief measures that are being taken at their respective jurisdictions while informing that the situation in most areas is returning to normal due to receding flood waters.

Itanagar, Mar 28 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, and four other candidates of the Saffron party are 'set’ to be declared elected unopposed as none of their opponents had filed nominations against them in the five Legislative Assembly Constituencies till Wednesday (March 27), the last date of filing nominations for the April 19 polls.
