Patna, June 27 (UNI) The Special court designated to hear cases related to MPs and MLAs granted bail to the former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi in connection with a case related to taking out a procession and obstructing road and paralysing traffic.
The special additional chief judicial magistrate Aadi Dev, while hearing the surrender cum bail petition of Jitan Ram Manjhi released him on the security of Rs 10 thousand and a bail bond of the like amount.
Jitanram Manjhi, through his surrender cum bail petition had prayed before the court to grant him bail as the case lodged against him was under the bailable section. He further apprised the court that he was already on bail granted by the police which he has not misused.
