Guardians of private and unaided schools to pay 80 per cent of fees before August 15

Kolkata, Jul 21 (UNI) A two-judge bench of Calcutta High Court today asked guardians of the students of private and unaided schools in the state to pay 80 per cent of the fees upto the month of July before August 15.
The matter comes before the high court after parents of the students in 112 private and unaided schools across the state moved a petition seeking a direction on the state government to regulate the fee structure of private and unaided schools.
The petitioners also sought an order from the high court directing the state government to ensure that no late fine are charged till June 30 and no additional fees are imposed on guardians for the financial year 2019-2020.
