Meghalaya CM condoles landslide deaths in Manipur

Shillong, June 30 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday condoled the loss of lives in a landslip at a railway construction site in Manipur's Noney district.
At least six people, including two Territorial Army personnel were killed and many went missing after the massive landslip at Tupul yard railway construction camp on Wednesday night, officials said.
“Pained to learn about the massive landslide incident in Tupul, Manipur that has claimed several lives with many missing. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for divine protection over all those missing,” Sangma tweeted. UNI RRK KK SSP

All 15 candidates for two LS seats clear scrutiny

Itanagar, Mar 28 (UNI) Altogether, 168 nominations filed for the upcoming Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections were found to be valid after scrutiny of papers on Thursday, while the process of scrutinising nominations against Itanagar and Daporijo constituencies has been adjourned till Friday, the results of which would be out by 11 a.m., an election official said.

Probe into killing of two people in Meghalaya
