Patna, Jan 29 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday said JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh would attend a function to be organised by Telangana Chief Minister K C Rao in Hyderabad on February 17.
Kumar told mediapersons during his Samadhan Yatra in Kaimur that Telengana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) president K C Rao made a telephone call inviting him to attend the function. He had authorised JD(U) president
Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh to attend the function, he informed.
"KCR had also requested me to give his message to Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav for attending the event in Hyderabad ", the Chief Minister said, adding he had asked KCR to personally invite Tejaswi for the event by making a phone call to him. He had conveyed the message of KCR to Tejaswi while KCR himself also made a telephone call to Tejaswi for extending the invitation, he added.
Kumar said he was waiting for the culmination of the ongoing "Bharat Jodo" Yatra of Congress and expecting a call thereafter from the party for a meeting of all opposition parties to chalk out a strategy for contesting together to counter BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He had already held first-round talks with top leaders of all opposition parties for evolving a consensus to fight together the next Lok Sabha elections to counter BJP, he stated.
As it is, K C Rao had invited his counterparts from Jharkhand Hemant Soren and Tamil Nadu M K Stalin and other leaders for a function to mark the inauguration of the newly constructed building of the secretariat in Hyderabad and also for a rally being organised by his party BRS. UNI KKS SSP
