Four PLFI ultras including an area commander arrested by Hazaribagh Police

Hazaribagh, Aug 31 (UNI) In a major success for Hazaribagh Police four ultras belonging to the proscribed People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) have been arrested with arms.
Among these four also included was a woman ultra who was heading the women wing of the outfit. Out of these four, three of them were arrested from Muffasil Police Station area of Hazaribagh district one was arrested from Petarwar Police Station area of Bokaro district.
Briefing the press, Hazaribagh SP Karthik S on Monday said that the arrested have been identified as Kajal Vishwakarma alias Madam Ji (woman ultra heading the women wing of PLFI), Nandkishore Mahto alias Mahyo alias Nadu (area commander), Shafiq Ansari and Veer Kumar Rajwar alias Heeralal Rajwar. Rajwar was arrested from Petarwar of Bokaro district.

Vigilance along border in run-up to election in Meghalaya

Shillong, April 15 (UNI) Vigilance by the police and paramilitary forces has been mounted along the Meghalaya-Assam inter-state boundary and the international border that the state shares with neighbouring Bangladesh in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, scheduled for April 19.
Meanwhile, in a significant joint operation conducted on Monday, the troops of BSF Meghalaya Frontier and Meghalaya Police seized a huge quantity of dry betel nuts from the bordering area of the South Garo Hills district of the state.
