Arunachal Guv urges for better coordination between state police and AR to deal with insurgency

Itanagar, Oct 12 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra while expressing concern over the problem of insurgency and the drug trafficking in the eastern part of Arunachal on Tuesday urged the Assam Rifles for developing better coordination with the state police in dealing with the anti national and anti social elements in the region.
A press note from the Governor’s secretariat said that the Governor shared his concern about militancy and nefarious elements dealing with drugs in the eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh while interacting with Director General of Assam Rifles, Lieutenant General Pradeep Chandran Nair, who called on him at the Raj Bhavan here.
Mishra further asked the Director General to put in his best, in whatever field he can, to tackle the twin menaces. He advised the DGAR to wholeheartedly focus on effective coordination with the state police in dealing with those elements and their nefarious activities.
