Seven girls drown in Latehar

Latehar, Sep 18 (UNI) Seven girls lost their lives on Saturday as they were drowned in a water body in Manandih Tola located under the Balumath Police Station area of this district.
Police quoting locals said that a group of girls had gone to perform the immersion of the branches of Karam tree after celebrating the function of Karma at water body located near the village.
When one by one all of them got drowned. By the time villagers reached and took out the girls, four of them died on the spot while three others succumbed at the primary health care centre.

The positive cases from the general population were from Imphal East (12),
Imphal West (26), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (5), Kakching (3), Ukhrul (12),
