Alarmed by rising Covid-19 deaths in Tripura, Centre to send expert team to examine causes

Agartala, Sep 6 (UNI) Worried by the deteriorating Covid-19 situation in Tripura, after the death of 145 people, Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has decided to send an expert team to find out the reason of the sudden spike in deaths and to review the state's Covid strategy.
According to reports, over 100 deaths in less than 20 days and as many as 15000 infections has set the alarm bells ringing.
The official sources confirmed that except for 13 deaths, all other patients died due to shortage of oxygen or lack of treatment in the Covid hospital.
