COVID-19: Central team visited Dhalai: Strengthening of infrastructure in full swing

Ambassa (Tripura), Sep 14 (UNI) As a part of their statewide surveillance about the preparedness to combat COVID-19, three member delegation of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare visited the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here today.
The team consisted of Dr. Satyajit Sen, Senior Regional Director, Dr. Daisy Panna, Consultant Epidemiologist, NCDC and Dr. P. K. Verma, Assistant Professor, Respiratory Medicine, LHMC. They were accompanied by Dr, Biprojit Debbarma, Assistant Director, as Liason Officer, District Magistrate Mayur Ratilal Govekar and Dr. Apollo Koloi, District Malaria Officer.
The team visited the COVID Care Centre of Ambassabari and the District Hospital. They also took a survey of the Ambassa Primary Health Centre which is turning into a 15 bedded dedicated COVID Care Hospital. They also took surveillance of the Trauma centre of the district hospital which is turning into an intensive Care Unit for COVID patients.
