Gangtok, Aug 23 (UNI) Health Minister Dr MK Sharma has been found Coronavirus positive after attending funeral ceremony of Transport Minister Sanjit Kharel’s father in a Village in East Sikkim.
All those who had come in touch with him from 14th August onwards, have been asked to see Doctors, while some traced have been sent for Home quarantine for 7 days. Chief Minister PS Tamang while wishing speedy recovery to the Minister has asked public not panic and avoid to venture out of houses without any reason. Former CM PK Chamling MLA has also wished speedy recovery to Minister Dr MK Sharma.
Sikkim saw 22 new Coronavirus cases on Sunday. Already 529 patients are undergoing treatment. 1403 Corona patients have been recorded so far since May2020 and 871 have been cured and discharged, while 3 died.
