Odisha logs 226 new covid 19 cases, tally surges to 10,46.088 with 8383 fatalities

Bhubaneswar, Nov 17 (UNI) Odisha reported 226 new covid positive cases in the past 24 hours with a test positivity rate of 0.37 per cent, taking the cumulative tally in the state to 10,46,088.
Health and Family Welfare department sources said all the 226 new cases which included 128 from the quarantine centres and 98 local contact cases, were reported from 20 districts.No new cases were reported from the other ten districts.
Khordha district recorded the highest number of 114 cases followed by Cuttack ( 15) and Balasore (10). These three coastal districts accounted for 61.5 per cent of the total new positive cases reported in the past 24 hours in the state. The other 17 districts, however, reported single-digit covid cases.
