Kohima, Sep 24 (UNI) In the latest COVID-19 situation in Nagaland, the number has increased to 37 new cases yesterday, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases to 31,027 so far and with three more deaths, the death toll rose up to 660.
According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 37 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from eight districts of Nagaland with 18 cases detected in Dimapur, 10 in Kohima, three in Mokokchung, two in Tuensang and one in Kiphire, one in Longleng, one in Phek and one in Wokha, taking the total caseload to 31,027.
They comprise 28 cases detected through self-testing and random sampling, 5 traced contacts, 4 returnees or travellers.
On the recovery of COVID-19 patients in the State, 22 recovered yesterday, 16 positive patients from Dimapur, three patients from Kohima, one from Mokokchung, one from Phek and one from Tuensang, taking the total recovery patients to 28,935, with a recovery rate of 93.25 per cent.
The state currently has 467 active cases in the state out of which 356 are asymptomatic, a total of 90 cases are mild symptomatic, six are moderate on oxygen, seven severe symptoms, eight are receiving oxygen support, four are admitted in ICUs without the ventilator and four are in the ICU on ventilator support.
Further, 45 patients are currently admitted in COVID hospitals and 401 are under home isolation. With two more patients died from the pandemic in Dimapur, the death toll remained at 660, the bulletin said.
