One dies of Dengue in Mizoram in 6 months

Aizawl, Aug 8(UNI) One person died due to Dengue infections in Mizoram during 6 months (January to June) while no case of Chikungunya was detected during the same period, state vector-borne diseases control programme (SVDBCP) officials said on Thursday.

The officials said that 3,186 samples of people suspected of being infected with Dengue have been collected and tested, of which 228 people were found to be infected with Dengue. One person died due to Dengue during July in Aizawl district, they said.

Kolkata, Sep 18 (UNI) Despite several global challenges, Indian engineering exports registered positive year-on-year growth for the fourth month in a row in August 2024 and rose 4.36 percent year-on-year to US$9.44 billion from US$9.05 billion in the corresponding month last year, according to EEPC India.
