COVID-19 cases on decline in Meghalaya

Shillong, Oct (UNI) The daily COVID-19 case count has been on a gradual decline with the number of recoveries from the viral disease at 86 exceeding the number of fresh cases of infection at 55 on Sunday in Meghalaya, which also recorded the death of one patient, who was not vaccinated, health officials said.
The number of active COVID-19 cases has declined to 845 and number of recovered cases has surged to 80,673 in the State, which has so far registered 82,953 confirmed cases, including 1,435 fatalities, health officials said.
The positivity rate has dipped down to 1.01 per cent, while the recovery rate from COVID-19 infection has climbed up to 97.25 per cent.
