COVID-19 positivity rate in Meghalaya drops to 2.09 per cent

Shillong, Sep 28 (UNI) The COVID-19 positivity rate in Meghalaya has further dropped to 2.09 per cent on Tuesday from 2.16 per cent on Monday, while the recovery rate has climbed up to 96.18 per cent, as 152 patients have recovered from the viral infection, pushing the total number of recovered patients to 77, 902, health officials said.
On the other hand, 95 new COVID-19 cases were detected, adding the number of active cases to 1,693 in the State, which has registered 80,992 confirmed COVID-19 cases so far.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 fatalities has increased to 1,397 with two new deaths registered in East Khasi Hills district and Ri-Bhoi district.
