Two more COVID-19  deaths, 155 fresh infections in Meghalaya

Shillong, Nov 1 (UNI) Two more persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in Meghalaya taking the death toll due to the viral infection in the State to 90 on Sunday, even as 155 fresh infections added up the active case tally to 1,055, while 117 persons recovered from the disease, pushing the number of recoveries to 8,462.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War informed that the two deaths, that of male COVID-19 positive patients, one in Tura, the district headquarters of West Garo Hills and another in Shillong, East Khasi Hills district.
Of the new cases detected in the State, He said 81 were from Ri-Bhoi district, 41 from East Khasi Hills district, 21 from West Garo Hills district, four each from West Jaintia Hills district and East Jaintia Hills district and two each from South West Garo Hills district and East Garo Hills district.
