Shillong, Oct 18 (UNI) Meghalaya registered 248 more cases of recovery from COVID-19, pushing the number of recoveries to 6,282, while 104 fresh cases of infection added up to 2,151 active cases in the State on Sunday.
Director Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War informed that of the new cases, 61 were detected in East Khasi Hills district, 18 in East Garo Hills district, 13 in West Garo Hills district, eight in Ri-Bhoi district, two in South West Garo Hills district and one each in East Jaintia Hills district and North Garo Hills district.
With 1,424 active COVID-19 cases that include 1,395 civilians and 29 Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces, East Khasi Hills, including Shillong is the most affected district in the State.
