Health Secretary directs DCs to register firs against striking contractual para medical staff

Ranchi, Aug 6 (UNI) The government has decided to take strict action against the striking contractual para medical staff as part of which the DCs have been asked to take action against them under Disaster Management Act.
Health secretary Nitin Madan Kulkarni has directed all the DCs to register FIR against these striking para medical staff and sack them from work and instead make new appointments. He said that strike by the para medical staff amid the Corona crisis, can not be justified in any way. Dr Kulkarni said that the state government was thinking over their demands.
For the second consecutive day, more than 10,000 contractual para medical staff remained on strike in support of their various demands which had adversely impacted healthcare services in the state especially across the Sadar Hospitals of the state.
