Covid 19 makes diabetes patients more tough, non diabetic to diabetics: Dr.Sahu

Bhubaneswar, Nov. 15 (UNI) Covid-19 had infected more number of people with diabetes compared to other people making the battle even tougher for them, according to Prof. Abhay Kumar Sahu, Head of the department of Endocrinology at Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, .
“The Covid virus easily infected persons with diabetes and these patients subsequently became critical,'' Dr.Sahu said and described both Covid and Diabetes as two edges of the same sword.
Another worrying factor was that the drugs administered to treat Covid in non-diabetic patients often led to those persons becoming diabetic subsequently, he said while speaking at a program organised
