Jharkhand: So far 4,453 test Covid positive, 9 dead, 3,878 also cured and discharged in police dept

Ranchi, Sep 7 (UNI) So far in Jharkhand 4,453 police personnel have been detected positive for Coronavirus.
A statement issued by the state police headquarters here today said that out of these 4,453 police personnel, 4 are SP Rank officers, 2 are ASP rank officers, 21 are DSP rank officials, 60 are inspector rank officers, 277 are Sub Inspector rank officers, 373 are Assitant Sub Inspector rank officers, 7 are higher level clerks, 457 are constables, 3,027 are jawans/drivers, 160 are fourth grade employees and 49 home guards.

On the other hand 3,878 policemen have been cured and discharged. However, these figures based on data available till September 6.
The Police Department has so far reported 9 deaths caused due to Coronavirus.
As per the latest figures currently there are 566 active cases among the policemen.
The police headquarters has already issued necessary instructions to all the police officials that apart from maintaining law and order they should take necessary precautions against Coronavirus.
The policemen have been asked to maintain social distancing, wear masks, use sanitizers and take all necessary precautions to prevent themselves against Coronavirus, moreover they have been also asked to take adequate safety measures while taking the accused to the jail.
