COVID-19 claims 8 lives, death toll swells to 187 in Bihar

Patna, July ( UNI) With eight fresh casualties due to coronavirus infection the death toll due to COVID 19 increased to 187 in Bihar so far.
Health department sources informed here today that two deaths were reported from East Champaran and one each from Begusarai, Bhojpur, Purnia, Sheikhpura, Siwan and Vaishali.
Of the 187 casualties maximum deaths were reported from Patna where 28 people lost their lives due to this infection followed by Bhagalpur with 16, Gaya 13, Darbhanga 10 , East Champaran 9, Muzaffarpur and Begusarai 8 each, Nalanda , Samastipur, Siwan and Saran 7 each , Rohtas 6 ,Bhojpur, Khagaria, Munger, West Champaran and Vaishali 5 each, Jehanabad and Nawada 4 each, Kaimur, Kishanganj, Purnea and Sitamarhi 3 each, Araria, Aurangabad, Katihar and Madhubani 2 each and Saharsa, Arwal, Sheikh pura, Jamui, Madhepura, Gopalganj, Banka and Sheohar 1 each.
