Bihar registers 1412 fresh COVID-19 cases, two deaths

Patna, July 19 (UNI) With the detection of 1412 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, the total tally in Bihar has surged to 26,379, while two more people lost their lives, raising the toll to 179.
State Health Department sources said here today that 638 new cases were found on July 18 and 775 on July 17.
Of the 638 cases detected on July 18 Rohtas reported 78 cases followed by Patna with 62, Gaya 49, Nalanda 44, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur 39 each, West Champaran 36, Bhagalpur 34, Supaul 33, Bhojpur, East Champaran and Saran 23 each, Jehanabad 21, Lakhisarai and Madhepura 15 each, Darbhanga and Madhubani 14 each, Arwal and Sitamarhi 10 each, Banka and Kishanganj 8 each, Sheikhpura 7, Araria 6, Purnea and Vaishali 5 each, Sheohar 4, Gopalganj and Siwan 3 each, Jamui 2 and Begusarai, Kaimur and Katihar 1 each.
