COVID 19 tally crosses 90 K in Bihar

Patna, Aug 12 (UNI) COVID 19 cases continue to surge in Bihar where 3,741 new positive cases were detected, taking the tally of coronavirus positive patients to 90,553 in the state so far.
Health department sources said here today that of the new cases, Patna reported with 529 cases followed by Begusarai with 254, Katihar 200, Saharsa 175, East Champaran and Madhubani 169 each, Muzaffarpur 160, Saran 148, Rohtas 140, Purnea 124, Gaya 107, Vaishali 97, Bhojpur 95, Nalanda 92, West Champaran 86, Buxar 85, Samastipur and Sitamarhi 81 each, Aurangabad 77, Bhagalpur 70, Araria 71, Jehanabad 69, Gopalganj 61, Darbhanga 58, Supaul 57, Madhepura 55, Siwan 54, Munger 52, Kishanganj and Sheikhpura 47 each, Nawada 45, Kaimur 37, Jamui 34, Banka and Khagaria 26 each, Arwal 21, Sheohar 19 and Lakhisarai 18.
Among these cases, samples of four persons including two of Jharkhand and one each of West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh were collected and examined at different places in Bihar.
