Risk of coronavirus infection increases with air pollution: Sushil

Patna, Sept 23 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today said that chances of coronavirus infection increases with increase in air pollution.
Launching clean air project prepared by all India development Research Institute (A DRi) and other organisations through video conferencing, Mr Modi referred to a study conducted at Harvard University of America and said that the study found that even 1% increase of PMT 2.5 particle in air increases the risk of covid-19 infection by several times as lungs get affected and immunity declines due to the air pollution.
The deputy CM said that registration of diesel vehicles have been prohibited in Gaya and Muzaffarpur and now only electric vehicles will be registered at these two places.
