St Xavier's University distributed masks

Kolkata, Nov 13 (UNI) The Coronavirus pandemic has impacted all aspects of life i.e. education, economy, religion, family, physical and emotional health, environment and so on. Governments in India, both Centre and States and various public and private agencies have responded to the crisis with several guidelines including ‘social distancing’ and lockdown’ as measures to combat the killer virus.
St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata takes a humble step to make the people of City of Joy aware of the dreaded disease by distributing masks at strategic locations viz Biswa Bangla Junction, Kathalberia Village and the adjoining areas this afternoon.
Commenting on today's mask distribution, Dr Felix Raj, Vice-Chancellor, St. Xavier's University, Newtown said, "It's great to see Xaverians of St. Xavier's University undertaking the initiative today to spread the awareness of keeping safe by wearing masks as they distributed masks within 5 km radius. This shows their commitment to going beyond classrooms in pandemic to be agents of change and service to others."
