Kolkata, Jul 21 (UNI) The Covid-19 toll in Bengal touched 1,182 on Tuesday with 35 more deaths and the confirmed cases rose to 47,030 with a record 2,261 new cases, while the State Government took all necessary measures to contain and combat spread of the pandemic, notifying extension of containment zone-based lockdown measures up to July 31.
According to the latest State Health Department bulletin, the count of discharged accounted for 28,035 with 1,617 recovering in the past 24 hours.
While the discharge rate in the state stood at 59.61 per cent, the count of active cases accounted for 17,813.
